The reality is that Millennials are becoming socialists because the GOP Boomers, went full Libertarian and started calling everything socialism.

Environmental regulations, the social safety net (unless it was helping GOP voters), worker safety regs, and pretty much anything short of cold Social Darwinism was labeled as evil socialism. Socialism that Boomers were all too happy to take when they needed it.

But when you call things like clean air, basic safety in the workplace, and not letting people starve because of an economic downturn socialism, you’re going to create socialists. People like those things.
